About The Role

Purpose:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing intuitive and engaging user experiences across our product portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, and product, to bring your designs to life and ensure they meet the needs of our users.


Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with product and engineering to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business goals.
· Create engaging, visual, and interactive user experiences that are accessible
· Perform usability testing and iterate designs based on feedback and data.
· Present ideas and designs and explain rationale to senior stakeholders
· Document design decisions and update the relevant style guides to support the implementation of designs
· Own the design and experience of the product you are working on, whilst ensuring the Lead Product Designer has oversight
· Continually keep yourself updated with the latest UI and UX changes in the industry and bring this back into your designs
· Supporting the Product Design Team with the day-to-day activities
· While not directly interacting with customers, your actions should align with upholding the FCA's Consumer Duty principles, thereby contributing to fair and beneficial outcomes for our clients.

About You

Skills:
· Ideally 3 years+ experience as a Product Designer
· Understanding of user-centered design methodology
· UI & UX design experience across mobile and web
· Understanding of Information architecture and interaction design (sitemaps, workflows, navigational flows)
· Experience creating wireframes and prototypes
· Understanding of user research, usability testing, and translating insights into actionable design solutions
· Creation and maintenance of design systems and pattern libraries for consistency and scalability
· Ability to communicate your ideas in a clear and effective manner to both expert and non-expert audience
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cross functional team
· Experience using tools such as Figma, Adobe CS, Miro
· Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5 and CSS3
· Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 standards for Accessibility
· Understanding of online usability analysis tools

· Reports to the Lead Product Designer
· Occasional travel may be required
· The successful candidate will be client focused, self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient
